Palma Aquarium Overview

A visit to the brand new Palma Aquarium is an experience you will never forget, but to get the most out of it, you must allocate at least half a day, perhaps even a whole day!
Palma Aquarium is a technical marvel with its 55 tanks presenting over 8000 marine specimens in faithfully recreated habitats and ecosystems from the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans. The visual experience is simply stunning, offering close-up glimpses of an amazing variety of marine species in their natural environments. There is also the opportunity to interact with some of the animals in some specially designed tanks.
But that’s not all that Palma Aquarium has to offer. The Jungle Expedition is an amazing recreation of a jungle environment in the form of the second largest roof garden in Europe. It’s hard to do justice to this astonishing feature in words – you have to experience it!
You should be sure to visit the external gardens which combine beautiful Mediterranean plants with tanks holding turtles, hammerhead sharks, rays, and other species. You’ll also find a children’s play area here with an exciting rock filled galleon for exploration.
Some of the other facilities offered by Palma Aquarium are a cafeteria, a restaurant for special events, and a shop for those all-important souvenirs. The complex also offers conference and exhibition facilities, and a range of educational activities. Behind the scenes, Palma Aquarium is engaged in marine research and conservation, and plans to provide rescue and rehabilitation assistance for marine creatures.
There is a lot to see and do at Palma Aquarium which delivers true value for the entrance fee.

    A great day out

    Lindsay Humphries from Mallorca

We recently visited the Aquarium with friends from the UK and their son aged 3. There are many attractions to keep all ages interested including the outside play area, the jungle experience and all the tanks both inside and out. Very well maintained, clean, friendly and helpful staff, it was well worth it and we will be back in the future.

Great trip out for all the family. P.Powdrill from clifton, nottingham.

My husband and I took our three grandchildren, aged 4, 6 and 8,here on 7th Oct. 2009. We all enjoyed it. We were stopping at the hotel Tropico Playa, Palma Nova, so we went to a ticket office just down from the hotel, we got a very good deal. For the five of us it only cost 71 euros including the transport, which I thought was a great price, and the children all got a lovely cap and a beachball each. The bus picked us up at 11.30am and it only took about twenty mins to get there, then it picked us back up at 4.30pm. All in all it was a brilliant day out and we would definitely return again.

This has not to be missed

    Eric Rowley from UK

Went with our grandaughter aged 9 years on Sunday the 5th april 2009. Arrived 9.30 am. Were there at 3.30 pm. Just Brilliant. Clean, well maintained. Grandaughter loved it, I had to admit that I thought I was going to be dissappointed, but I was very impressed. Just a couple of points, the food was good, but in line with prices in Spain lately, a little expensive. Also, in todays on line world, why can't you buy discounted tickets on line. it cost us over ?50 for two adults and a 9 year old. a little expensive. The site doesn't give a lot of information. With a little imagination and a discounted on line ticket price, it would be even more attractive. Even so, don't miss it.

I love working at Palma Aquarium

Wanda Dirks - Palma Aquarium from Mallorca

Tis the season to book events from Birthday parties, Conventions, Weddings and of course Holiday lunches and dinners. For me my favorite are Diving with the Sharks with my clients, Dine with the Sharks as I had my own super Birthday Party in front of the Shark Tank! And Sleep with the Sharks is amazing for children. Everything Palma Aquarium has to offer is amazing and what a memorable experience to be eye to eye to a Shark! I love my job at Palma Aquarium ...all the fish, the live coral and people are super special! Besitos!

    Highly recommended

Jo Bland and family from Yorkshire, U.K.

What a great family day we had! Lots to see and do for all of us (4, 9 and 11 year olds plus parents and grandpa) and very educational at the same time. It was a bit hot waiting in the sun for tickets but we soon forgot that when we got inside. Made a great change from the beach.
