Mike has spent much of his working life in Central and Southern Africa, and held a number of senior management positions with petrochemical giants Shell and Total. More recently, he took up new challenges in transport logistics management, as well as putting a tentative toe into the hospitality industry by way of ownership of a game and guest farm in the Magalies mountains in South Africa.

Pam, Mike and their two children have been visiting Mallorca for many years, thanks to family connections, and, when they decided to leave Africa for the last time, there was little doubt where they were going to settle.
